Sales & Design Associate

The Sales and Design Associate is responsible for the leadership, management and accountability of the sales function. The core functions of this position are sales, design and marketing. The Sales and Design Associate will organize and complete all tasks related to sales and design by actively seeking new leads through connections and marketing, scheduling customer appointments, working one-on-one with customers to design home plans and provide design support and organization throughout the building process.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals by providing a high value and quality product by surpassing customer expectations
  • Actively search to bring in new leads through connections, marketing and additional avenues
  • Conduct all home walk-throughs and tours with potential and existing customers
  • Work with customers to design house plans that are functional, creative and within budget
  • Continuously research design trends to provide exceptional design ideas and support to customers
  • Actively participate in the design, coordination and management of all marketing content
  • Recognize marketing opportunities by identifying customer requirements and defining competitor’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Communicate and problem-solve with vendors to address customer inquiries and concerns


Experience and Technical Skills

  • 1 or more years in the homebuilding Sales & Design process preferred
  • This position requires exceptional homebuilding product knowledge and a strong ability to communicate options and services to customers
  • Exceptional ability to read, understand and creatively change home plans to suit customer needs
  • Strong working knowledge of Alberta and National Building Code
  • Proficient working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word
  • Office Technology Certificate and a CADD certificate are a benefit but not required


  • Highly motivated and driven individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional attitude with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the team
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and organize projects with customers, vendors and other team members
  • Must be able to work independently with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize competing tasks, deadlines and customer appointments
  • Commitment to succeed in a dynamic organization where customer service is of the utmost importance
  • Excellent organization, coordination and managerial skills
  • Excellent ability to professional represent the company when corresponding with customers and vendors
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends for customer appointments
